Cal. 8mm (Mauser). S# 6846. Bbl. 22". Standard G41 sights with hooded front. Rear sight has ZF41 rail on both sides. Muzzle cone is mismatched & stock has no discernable number but all other visible numbers are matching to receiver. "ac 43" coded G41 rifle made by Walther in 1943. Blued finish. Laminated stock set with durofol handguard, left side sling provisions & repro sling. Left side of butt has faint Walther eagle "359" inspection stamps. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: sanded stock has added finish with some dings & handling marks. Metal retains 30-40% original blue with overall fading to gray, pitting on mag body, some wood finish overrun, scattered oxidation, handling marks & edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled but dust cover does not stay on bolt when action is cycled & will require attention to fix. Bright very good plus bore showing a few small pits. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH. (26-2533/MJC). CURIO. $4000-6000.
